We made our 2.75 inch upper intercooler charge piping becuase when it comes to FBO & Sub 1000Hp R35 builds, bigger is simply not always better. 

You see when it comes to turbos, that space they need to fill up with the aircharge, size matters.

The bigger the space the bigger the air volume needed to fill that space, the longer it will take a OEM or smaller turbos on the R35 to fill that space.

Resulting in increased turbo lag, causeing the turbos to spool slower and ultimately hurting the performance of your R35 GTR.  

This is the reason we made 2.75 inch charge piping, because when it comes to FBO & Sub 1000Hp R35 builds, the more commonly used 3 inch piping is just to large to do the job correctly.

Next, unlike other manufactures we NEVER powder coat any of our products that are made or designed to reduce aircharge temperatures. 

Why?

Because powder coating will retain heat, and add to the heat soak of any piping located within an engine compartment that will then increase aircharge temperature.

Powder coating any product adds a thick heavy layer of additional material on any metal surface it is sprayed and baked on.

While it does add to the finished look of the product, it does not add to the performance or the product.

It also after time begins to fade, and lighten when exposed to temperatures in excess of 250°

So we coated it with a Cerakote finish.

Cerakote is a micro thin hi-end ceramic based finish that enhances the physical performance of anything it is applied on, including abrasion & wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness to name a few

Most importantly though Cerakote also reduces the thermal cycle and reduces surface temperature in extreme heat applications.

Simply put, it will help to reduce the aircharge tempatures by allowing the piping it is applied onto, help reject the heat surrounding it, thus reducing the temperature of the aircharge inside the piping. 

It also withstands thermal shock without degrading or losing color and is 100% UV Stable and will not fade.
